Abstract

This study aims to identify alternative tourism products in Delod Sema Village in Taro Tourism Village which have various natural, cultural and man-made or creative potentials. This study specifically identifies one of the tourism products that has been developed, namely Create Traditional Coconut Oil, which is the activity of making traditional oil by the community by involving tourists. This research is a qualitative research, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and literature study, analyzed with qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. From Based on interviews and observations, it was found that Delod Sema Village's great potential is very diverse in the form of natural potential consisting of rice fields which are used as cycling paths, coconut plantations, rivers and places for melukat (self-purification). Cultural potential in the form of handicrafts masks, and silver. Man-made potential (creative potential) is a cooking class, making ceremonial facilities, and traditional coconut oil which is well known by many tourists. Since its introduction, this tourism product has attracted hundreds of tourists. The response and impression of tourists to this tourism product is very good because they get a high-value experience. The existence of this creative tourism product is not considered optimal because it is only carried out by a small part of the Delod Sema Village community. Their limited English skills are the main factor, and become one of the challenges faced by the community for the development of traditional coconut oil tourism products.
