Abstract
HAND BOOK OF ENGLISH AT ROOM DIVISION is designed for the students who have learned English profession at Front Office and Housekeeping. It is also designed for the students who have gained a haphazard and limited knowledge of English while on the job in tourism industry, especially at the Front Office Department and Housekeeping Department. The level of the students who use this book is Management of Food and Beverage Diploma III semester 5. This semester they learn English at Room Division as a minor subject. The components of this book are consisting of seven units. Each unit consists of three parts, they are starting you off the topic, developing the topic, and follow-up the topic. The first part is starting you off the topic. This part, there are some questions which students must answer based on their opinions. The questions are about the material that they will learn. The second part is developing the topic. This part, the lecturer will explain the material, and the students have to listen it. The third part is follow-up the topic. This part, the students have to discuss and to do the tasks. Unit one is dealing with ENGLISH FOR HANDLING RESTAURANT RESERVATION , unit two is dealing ENGLISH FOR HANDLING WELCOMING GUEST IN THE RESTAURANT, unit three is dealing with ENGLISH FOR EXPLAINING THE MENU, unit four is dealing with ENGLISH FOR TAKING ORDER, unit five is dealing with ENGLISH FOR SERVING THE MEAL IN THEiv RESTAURANT, unit six is dealing with ENGLISH FOR HANDLING THE BILL IN THE RESTAURANT, and unit seven is dealing with ENGLISH FOR ROOM SERVICE STAFF.
